Lexmark Black Print CartridgeLexmark never stops improving its printing systems to achieve the finest resolution and to guarantee constant print quality thanks to integrated printhead cartridges. With its new generation of integrated printhead cartridges, Lexmark has once again taken inkjet technology one step ahead! Lexmark's new black printhead have more nozzles and cover higher space on one path. The new color printhead have small and medium nozzles to produce ink drop of variable size, resulting in finer and less grainy images. All Lexmark inkjet cartridges have the actual print head, there where the core inkjet technology lies, integrated to the cartridge bottle. The main advantage to having the print head as an integrated part to the cartridge is that Lexmark customers get a new print head with each cartridge replacement! This is each time like getting a brand new printer all over again! No risk of deterioration of the print head (and therefore a decrease in quality)during the life of the printer as can be the case with other manufacturers who integrate the print head as a fixed part inside the printer itself. The Z55 and Z65 product line incorporates Lexmark's breakthrough resolution of 3600 and 4800 dpi, with microscopic droplets and variable drop size technology. The combination of the dual nozzle diameters and adjacent ink bubble chambers allow ink drop sizes of 3pL and 10pL. By varying drop sizes, Lexmark printheads produce finer, less grainy images. In addition, a higher drop density results in greater depth and true photo quality images on any type of media. Lexmark uses pigment-based inks for the development of all their black inks. The reason for this is simple as pigmented inks are extremely resistant to fading over time and infrared readable! Lexmark has also developed revolutionary new inks for its revolutionary new cartridges. With new ink formulation, blacks are sharper and crisper.
